SAFRONYA™ AYURVEDA SIGNATURE TREATMENTS

Our signature treatments are inspired by and make use of saffron. This precious spice has been hailed as an important ingredient in a large number of Ayurvedic medicines and is often mentioned in such old texts such as the Charaka Samhita and Sushruta Samhita.

Safronya™ Signature Foot Soak
Our signature foot or hand soak using Saffron, honey, milk, and essential oils. Begin with dry brushing of your feet to remove dead cells, followed by a generous pouring of our precious concoction. To complete, luxuriate with a foot massage to ease your tired feet away.

Abhyanga Massage
The purpose of this massage is to work warm herbal oils into the tissues and properly direct the flow of energy in the body through long, rhythmic strokes.

Traditional Four-Hand Abhyanga Massage
A traditional warm oil massage performed by two practitioners working in harmony to restore balance physically, mentally and spiritually. This treatment includes an herbal steam to deepen detoxification and relaxation.

Shirodhara
Warm oil is rhythmically poured onto the center of the forehead creating profound relaxation as mind and body surrender to the experience. This profound traditional treatment eliminates the deep stresses that can lead to exhaustion, fatigue, insomnia and anxiety.

Shirobyanga - Indian Head Massage
Stimulating and relaxing Indian head massage removing both emotional and physical energy blockages that create headaches, excessive thinking and mental exhaustion. This treatment increases circulation and brings health to the scalp and hair follicles.

Nasya
Nasya is the gentle administration of herbal oils into the nostrils to open the sinuses, bring clarity to the mind and bring relief to the neck. This includes a facial massage with stimulation of marma points along with heat application to prepare the body to receive the oils.

Marma Abhyanga
A traditional abhyanga massage that includes the anointing of marma points (vital energy centers) with essential oils. This is good for overall balance or can be customized for more specific issues such as digestive problems, nervous system disorders, chronic pain, etc.

Udvartana
A stimulating and energizing treatment utilizes friction and rubbing of herbal powders to detoxify long held accumulations. Udvartana includes a herbal steam and is recommended for those experiencing coldness, heaviness, and excess weight.

Tonifying Herbal Clay Therapy
The treatment starts with a light application of warm herbalized oils and is followed by the kneading of specialized herbal mineral rich clay, helping increase circulation, relieve muscle aches and rejuvenate the skin. A hot bath or steam ends the treatment to keep you in bliss for days to come.

Bastis 
Bastis bring profound healing and nourishment to depleted organs and tissues. Theses therapies involve making a dough dam made of flour which allows the pooling of warm oil to sit over the affected area. Some light marma therapy and healing touch allows for deep emotional and mental release.
